For the canon blind:
Akira's series is a gory and tragic manga series that was written by Go Nagai in the 1970's. It's a seinen and the target audience caters to men (not shounen.) That being said, it's jam packed with violence, death, PTSD, nudity, fearmongering, gore, toxic masculinity, sexual themes, religious themes, antagonizes God, cannibalism, war and the end of all humanity.

For the canon familiar:
I take Akira's canon point is at his battle with Sirene. None of my writing includes anything relevant to Devilman Lady or Violence Jack. So no worries about any warnings from those series...

For those who have seen Devilman Crybaby:
The biggest difference between Akira in this version vs. Netflix Akira is he's a lot more violent (instead of um... horny.) And while Netflix Akira never really grew out of his crying phase, this Akira did and is less empathetic from the canon point I typically play him from. There's a lot more emphasis on his.. um.. machoness... gomen. Just a little fyi.

That all being said, if you've been tagged by me and something about these series just isn't your cup of tea.. please let me know! I'm immensely chill about this and completely understand. I would much rather you let me know so I don't make anyone uncomfortable because I do include these such things in my writing, specifically the end of humanity, violence, gore, PTSD, death, & cannibalism.
